Characteristics of Cultivation Techniques for Potato Under Film Drip Irrigation
Drip irrigation is one of the water-saving irrigation techniques. Jianping County began introducing the technique of drip irrigation under plastic film for potatoes in 2007, which is an organic combination of drip irrigation, fertilization, and plastic film cultivation techniques. Its main characteristics are: significantly reducing irrigation volume, improving irrigation uniformity, local irrigation, and multiple irrigation; Fertilization frequency increases, fertilization amount decreases, and fertilization techniques become more accurate. Its main function is to maintain the soil at the roots of crops under water, fertilizer, and air conditions.
When using drip irrigation techniques, attention should be paid to: firstly, the top of the ridge should be scraped off before laying the drip irrigation belt after potato planting; secondly, during cultivation, the soil should be applied to bury the drip irrigation belt in the soil. To avoid flattening the drip irrigation belt, the drip irrigation system should be opened so that the drip irrigation belt is in a dripping state; Secondly, throughout the entire growth period of potatoes, drip irrigation can be carried out based on soil moisture, with each drip lasting 4-6 hours. During the top dressing season, the fertilizer used for top dressing can be placed in a fertilization tank and dripped together.
